DOWNTOWN
You will meet our tour guide at the entrance of the Copacabana Palace and you will be taken by subway to downtown, stopping at Cinelândia Stationfrom Rio´s 1900s, with its relics of the French architectural influence such as the National Museum of Fine ArtsTheatro Municipal – the city´s Opera House, the National LibraryPedro Ernesto Palace (City Hall), the Cultural Center of the Federal Court. On the way to Carioca square you'll see the Naval Club, the Monastery Church of Santo Antônio and the Ordem Terceira de São Francisco da Penitência, a true cultural richness of the Brazilian colonial architecture (1622). You'll also see Tiradentes Palace (State Hall), Praça XV including the Imperial Palace (the first residence of the Portuguese Royal Family), the statue of General OsórioMestre Valentim's Fountain. Through the Teles Arch you'll reach the cobble-stoned Travessa do Comercio and the former residence of Carmen Miranda, the Church of Our Lady of the Merchants, the Post Office Cultural CenterFrance-Brazil HouseBank of Brasil Cultural Center, Candelaria Church and The Olympic Torch.

CONFEITARIA COLOMBO
Finishing our morning part of the tour with a visit to the Confeitaria Colombo, built in 1894 in Art-Nouveau. And at this point you will have a break for lunch where you will be able to choose between Confeitaria Colombo and any other restaurant around, before beginning the second part of the tour. Please, be aware that lunch is not included. Then you will take the LRV (Light Rail Vehicle) and head to the Olympic Boulevard, where you will have a historical and cultural tour through the Sea Port Area.

OLYMPIC BOULEVARD
The region called Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port) started to be revitalized in 2010 and has now a variety of interesting buildings and museums. You will take a good walk passing the Olympic Boulevard, throughThe GaleRio Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port GaleRio), a sequence of panels that make up an artistic pathway with walls that have been painted by 20 artists and the famous street art mural, called Etnias, painted by Eduardo Kobra.

MAR (RIO ART MUSEUM)
Also you will have a chance to visit the MAR, the Rio Art Museum, installed at Praça Mauá, in two buildings with heterogeneous and interconnected profiles: The Dom João VI Mansion, listed and eclectic, and the neighboring building, which has a modernist style and was originally a bus terminal. You can get a nice view of the Museum of Tomorrow from MAR’s rooftop.

MUSEUM OF TOMORROW
Right after we will head to the Museum of Tomorrow, a science museum in the city, right across MAR. It was designed by Spanish neofuturistic architect Santiago Calatrava, and built next to the waterfront at Pier Maua. This intricate yet captivating museum mixes science with an innovative design to focus on sustainable cities and an ecological world.

RETURN
You will then take the subway back at the Hotel areas, ending this incredible and historical tour.
